Our Story
Thank you so much for visiting our site!
My name is Wafa'a Madanat, founder of “Kids Hands On” dedicated to the development of children through sensory play and exploration. I am a happily married mother of four: Isabella, Salim, Karim and Olivia. I am also a teacher and an early childhood specialist.
Sensory Play has always been an important part of play in my classroom and home. I have seen the impact of this amazing type of play on my students and own children.
In 2018, I started Kids Hands On as a blog to help other parents integrate sensory play and hands-on experiences into the lives of their own children. I shared recipes and ideas on how to assemble play kits using simple material from home. I've always used these ideas in my classroom and at home.
in 2019, and right after the birth of my 4th child, Olivia, I made some sensory kits as presents for my friends' children to enjoy at home. The impact that we have seen was incredible! The kids loved our kits. They helped calm their frustrations, build on their language, strengthen their motor skills, improve their social skills, and expand their imagination and creative play.
With more than 15 years of teaching preschoolers, I have become dedicated to the methodology that play is a child’s most important work, and I strive to create and maintain an environment where children can not only grow but thrive while exploring the world around them.
It warms my heart knowing that each kit we assemble plays a small role in your child's development, and I can't thank you enough for letting us be a part of that journey!
